These terms apply to every photography session and product booked with Aleksa Photos, a photographer based in Trowbridge, Wiltshire. By booking a session or paying a booking fee or deposit, you agree to these terms.
If anything here is unclear, please get in touch before you book. I am always happy to explain.
Family, newborn, children’s, portrait and business sessions are confirmed with a £50 booking fee, which is deducted from the price of your session. The remaining balance is paid on the day of the session or after the session, before your photos are delivered.
Weddings are confirmed with a 50% deposit. The remaining balance is paid after the wedding, before your full gallery is delivered.
Your date is only reserved once the booking fee or deposit has been paid. All prices are listed on the website and confirmed with you before the session.
If you book online, by email, by phone or on WhatsApp, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of booking and receive a full refund, including the booking fee or deposit.
If you ask for your session to take place within those 14 days, you can still cancel, but the booking fee or deposit is not refunded once the session has taken place.
You can move your session to a new date once, free of charge, as long as you let me know at least 48 hours before the session.
A change made less than 48 hours before the session, or a second change, is treated as a cancellation.
If you cancel after the 14-day period, the booking fee or wedding deposit is non-refundable, because the date was kept for you and turned away from others.
Outdoor sessions affected by bad weather are moved to another day at no cost, and this does not count as your free change.
If I am unable to photograph your session because of illness or an emergency, we will agree a new date that suits you. If a new date does not work for you, you will receive a full refund of everything you have paid.
Travel is free within 5 miles of Trowbridge. From 5 to 20 miles there is a £15 travel fee, and from 20 to 30 miles the fee is £30. For longer distances, I will give you a quote before you book. The travel fee is paid together with the balance.
Session times are planned carefully, so please be ready on time. If a session starts late on your side, it may need to finish at the planned time.
Parents and carers are responsible for their children throughout the session. During newborn sessions your baby’s safety comes first, a parent stays close at all times and no pose is ever forced.
If you have pets, please keep them settled in another room unless you would like them in the photos.
After the session you receive a private online gallery, usually within 2 to 3 weeks. A sneak peek of a few images arrives within 48 hours of every session. For weddings, the full gallery arrives within 8 weeks.
You choose your favourite images from the gallery. Extra images can be added for £15 each, unless a different price is stated for a particular session, such as mini sessions.
Every image is edited gently and naturally in my own style. Unedited files (RAW files) are not provided, and I do not offer major retouching of appearance.
Your gallery stays online for 12 months. Please download your images and keep a backup, as I cannot guarantee to keep copies after that time.
I keep the copyright of all images. You receive a personal licence to print your photos and share them with family and friends, including on social media. Tagging Aleksa Photos is always appreciated.
Please do not edit the images or add filters, as this changes my work.
Commercial use is included in business packages where it is stated. For other sessions, commercial use needs my written permission.
I may use some images from your session on my website, in my portfolio and on social media. If you would prefer me not to, simply let me know in writing before the session and I will keep your photos private.
Some galleries can be password protected, so you can share them with your loved ones without showing them to everyone.
Gift vouchers are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase, with one possible extension. After that they can no longer be used. Each voucher is assigned to the family named on it and cannot be passed on, exchanged for cash or refunded. Vouchers can be used for newborn, children’s and family sessions and for mini sessions, but not for weddings, events or business photography.
Mini sessions, such as Christmas mini sessions, have their own prices and timings, which are shown on the session page.
Prints, albums and other products are made to order after you approve your choices, so they cannot be returned unless they arrive damaged or faulty. If there is a problem, please let me know within 14 days of receiving your order and I will put it right.
I take great care with every session and always bring backup equipment. In the unlikely event that images are lost or cannot be delivered because of something outside my control, my responsibility is limited to the amount you have paid. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
