First Holy Communion, a day to remember

Photographing a First Holy Communion is always an honour, especially when I am invited to be part of the entire day, from the quiet preparations at home to the ceremony and the celebration that follows. This session was exactly that, a full story told through images.

Quiet preparations at home

The gentle morning light, the careful buttoning of a robe, flowers being pinned into a plait, and the proud glances between family members. These little moments often pass unnoticed in the rush of the day, but they hold so much feeling.

The ceremony

Having your photographer with you from the start means you can be fully present. There is no need to worry about capturing anything yourself, because you get to focus on the emotions, the meaning and the joy.

The celebration

I stayed for the party too, right through to the cake. This kind of memory deserves more than a snapshot. It deserves a story, your story.

First Holy Communion photography in Wiltshire

A First Holy Communion is a big day for the whole family. I photograph it in a documentary way, from getting ready at home to the church ceremony and the celebration afterwards, with a few relaxed portraits of your child in between. Many of these sessions are for Polish families in the UK, and I am happy to work in Polish.
