Newborn photography prices, explained

No hidden costs. Here is exactly what a newborn session with me costs and what you get.

Newborn photography prices in the UK vary a lot, from mini sessions to full studio packages with albums. The price usually depends on three things: how long the photographer spends with you, how many edited images you receive, and whether prints are included. Below are my current prices, so you can compare like for like.

At-home newborn sessions

I come to you, so your baby stays in a familiar, warm place and you do not need to travel in the first days.

  • At Home Standard, £250. Up to 2 hours, 10 edited digital images, up to 5 family members, free travel within 5 miles of Trowbridge.
  • At Home Max, £400. Up to 4 hours, 35 edited digital images plus 10 prints, up to 9 family members, free travel within 20 miles.

Studio newborn sessions

Studio sessions run on selected dates and include printed photos.

  • Studio Standard, £350. 1.5 hours, 10 digital images and 10 prints.
  • Studio Max, £500. 3 hours, 20 digital images and 10 prints.

What is included in every session

  • Planning and a preparation guide before the session.
  • Time for feeding, settling and cuddles, with no rush.
  • Careful, natural editing.
  • A sneak peek within 48 hours and your private online gallery within 2 to 3 weeks.

Extras and travel

Additional edited images are £15 each, so you can add favourites after you see your gallery. Travel within 5 miles of Trowbridge is free, including Bradford on Avon and Westbury. Travel of 5 to 20 miles is £15, which covers Melksham, Frome, Bath and Chippenham, and 20 to 30 miles is £30, for example Salisbury or Bristol.

How to save on newborn photos

If you book a maternity session and a newborn session together, the second session is 30% off. For example, a maternity Story session at £295 plus an At Home Standard newborn session at £250 would cost £470 in total instead of £545.

When to book

It is best to get in touch during pregnancy. Send me your due date and we will plan the session for your baby’s first days at home, then confirm the exact day once your baby arrives. A £50 booking fee secures your place and is deducted from the final price.

With me, newborn sessions start at £250 for an at-home session with 10 edited images. Studio sessions start at £350 and include 10 prints.

Are there any hidden costs?

No. The package price includes the session, editing and your online gallery. Extra images are £15 each if you would like more, and travel beyond 5 miles is clearly priced.

Is it cheaper to book maternity and newborn together?

Yes. When you book both sessions together, the second session is 30% off.
