Booking and dates
How to get in touch, when to book and what happens if the weather has other plans.
Send me a message using the form at the bottom of this page or on WhatsApp. Tell me what kind of session you would like, the town you live in and a few dates that suit you. I reply within 24 hours and we agree everything together.
For family, children’s and portrait sessions, a few weeks ahead is usually enough. Popular dates go quickly, especially at weekends and before Christmas. Weddings are best booked as soon as you have your date. For a newborn session, get in touch while you are still expecting and send me your due date, so we can plan the session for your baby’s first days at home.
Sessions take place Monday to Saturday, subject to availability. Weekday weddings and registry office ceremonies are very welcome.
We plan the session around the light in your home and your family’s rhythm. Late morning or early afternoon often works beautifully, but if your little one naps or feeds at a particular time, we simply work around that.
Family, newborn, children’s, portrait and business sessions are confirmed with a £50 booking fee, which is deducted from the price. Weddings are secured with a 50% deposit, and the balance is paid after the wedding, before your full gallery is delivered. You can move your session once, free of charge, with at least 48 hours’ notice. Full details are in my terms and conditions.
Outdoor sessions affected by bad weather are moved to another day at no cost. An in-home session is a cosy alternative, especially in winter.
Working with me
Relaxed, patient and natural. Here is what to expect when we meet.
I come to you. Sessions take place in your home or at a favourite outdoor spot around Trowbridge, Bath and Wiltshire. Travel is free within 5 miles of Trowbridge, and you can see the travel fees for longer distances below. From time to time I also run studio sessions and Christmas mini sessions, so follow me on Facebook and Instagram to hear about them first.
Natural and documentary. I have worked as a photojournalist since I was 17, so I look for real moments rather than stiff poses. I give gentle direction when it helps, and the rest comes from your connection with each other. You can see whole sessions in my client galleries.
Not at all, most people do at first. You do not need to know how to pose. I guide you throughout the session, and once you focus on each other rather than the camera, it gets much easier.
That is completely fine, every child has off days. We take it slowly, allow breaks and go with the flow. There are no forced smiles, just patience and gentle encouragement. I have a background in education and have worked with lots of little ones.
Yes, I love animals and they are welcome in your photos. If you would rather they were not part of the session, please settle them in another room so we can work without interruptions.
Yes, I am insured and trained in newborn photography, so you and your baby are in safe hands.

Before the session
A little preparation goes a long way. My full guide covers everything, these are the quick answers.
A few days before, send me a short video or a few photos of the rooms where we will be shooting, along with the outfits you have chosen. Before a newborn session you also receive a guide with everything you need to know. My guide to preparing for your photoshoot starts with the eight most important tips.
Keep it simple and soft. Neutral or pastel tones work best, without loud patterns or big logos. Aim to coordinate as a family without matching exactly, and choose clothes you feel comfortable in.
Not at all. It is about your connection and your light, not a show home. A toy in the corner or a blanket on the sofa can add to the story, and I will frame everything beautifully.
It depends on the package, the number of people and the age of the children. Newborn sessions at home last up to 2 hours (Standard) or up to 4 hours (Max). I never work with a stopwatch, so there is always time for feeding, cuddles and breaks.
Yes, please do. A few saved images or a small mood board helps us get on the same page. There is no pressure to copy anything, it is your story.
Your photos
When your photos arrive, how you choose them and what you can order afterwards.
Your online gallery is ready within 2 to 3 weeks of the session. If you need a few images sooner for a gift or a special occasion, just let me know. For weddings, a sneak peek arrives within 48 hours and the full gallery within 8 weeks.
After the session you choose your favourites from your private online gallery. If you love more images than your package includes, you can add extra ones for £15 each.
For a year, so you can share it with family and friends. It can be password protected or shared publicly, whichever you prefer.
If your package includes digital photos, you get a link to download high-resolution JPG files that you can print yourself. I can also arrange professional printing for you.
Every image is edited gently and naturally. If something really bothers you, like a mark on the wall, just mention it and I will see what can be done. I do not offer major retouching of appearance.
Yes. Once you have your gallery, you can order prints, photobooks, albums and keepsakes. Prints start at £1.23, photobooks at £25 and luxury albums at £120. See all albums, prints and extras.
Prices and travel
Clear prices with no surprises. You will always know the cost before the session.
Family and portrait sessions start at £195 and newborn sessions at £250. Small weddings start at £450, and social media content sessions for businesses at £120. Every price is on my sessions and prices page.
Travel is free within 5 miles of Trowbridge, including Bradford on Avon and Westbury. From 5 to 20 miles there is a £15 travel fee, for example Melksham, Frome, Bath or Chippenham. From 20 to 30 miles it is £30, for example Salisbury or Bristol. The Newborn Max package includes free travel within 20 miles.
Yes. Extra images are £15 each, and you can choose them from your gallery after the session.
Gift vouchers
A thoughtful present for a family you love, for Christmas, birthdays or new parents.
Yes. The Gift of Memories costs £89 and includes a 60-minute newborn, children’s or family session, 3 printed photos (A5) and a private online gallery. With 5 digital images added, it costs £129. It comes as an elegant gift card with the family’s name and your message.
A newborn, children’s or family session, or one of my occasional mini sessions. It cannot be used for weddings, events or business photography.
Six months from the date of purchase, with one possible extension. Each voucher is assigned to the family named on it, so it cannot be passed on to anyone else.
Collect it from Will Do Studio at 22 Castle Street in Trowbridge, have it posted to you, or choose an e-voucher by email for a last-minute gift. You can also add an engraved frame or photo box from Will Do Studio at 10% off.
Weddings
From a quiet registry office ceremony to the whole day, from preparations to the evening.
Yes, and I love them. Registry office ceremonies, intimate weddings and small family celebrations within about 30 miles of Trowbridge, including Bath, Frome, Chippenham, Salisbury and Bristol. Weekday ceremonies are very welcome. More on my small weddings page.
Ceremony coverage starts at £450 for up to an hour. Half-day coverage is £850 and full-day coverage £1,800. My Beginning to Beyond package covers the whole day, from preparations to the evening, for £2,300. An engagement session is £300. See all wedding packages.
A sneak peek and your photos with guests arrive within 48 hours, followed by your full online gallery within 8 weeks.
We use covered spots near the venue, and a few umbrellas often make for the most fun photos of the day.

Business
Natural photos of your products, space and team, ready for social media and your website.
Social media content, product and team photos, interiors and event coverage for local businesses around Trowbridge, Bath and Wiltshire. For cafés and restaurants, I usually arrive before opening hours to capture the preparation and atmosphere.
A one-hour session gives you 15 edited photos for £120. A two-hour session is £220, and shoots of 3 hours or more are quoted individually. See social media content sessions.
Yes. Business sessions include commercial use where it is stated in the package. For other sessions, commercial use needs my permission.
Yes. Event coverage starts from £180 and is quoted individually, depending on the length and scale of the event.
