About me
As a photographer, my core mission is to encapsulate emotions within my photographs, with the hope that decades down the line, my clients will revisit these images and be swept back into those moments of happiness, love, and joy.
My passion for photography was ignited in childhood, surrounded by family photos that told tales of generations past. Those precious moments, spent with albums on my lap, questioning and listening to the stories of my family, have shaped my approach to photography. It’s this personal history that drives me to create images that not just capture moments, but also serve as gateways to relive and share those cherished emotions. Every photograph I take is a potential heirloom, a piece of history for my clients’ future generations to treasure and learn about then family from.
Unveiling My Journey to Photography
My adventure with photography started quite unexpectedly, with an old analog camera I found hidden away in a drawer. Little did I know, this camera would become my ticket to a world I never imagined. I remember taking it with me on a trip to Italy, a place where every corner tells a story. Looking through that viewfinder for the first time, I felt a rush, almost like magic, flowing through me. Before this, my photography was just casual snaps of friends or helping them out with pictures for their budding social media profiles.
But after Italy, everything changed. I came back with a fire in my heart, determined to save up for my very own digital SLR camera. It was incredible how, even with a basic camera, I started winning awards in photography contests. Those awards weren’t just prizes; they were affirmations of my passion. At 17, my drive took me a step further as I began exchanging my photos for entry into events. This hustle paid off when I joined the editorial team of a major online portal—a moment of pride that still resonates with me.
My college years were an extension of this journey, with friends often asking for photo sessions, making my camera an integral part of my life. Surrounded by fellow photography enthusiasts, we nurtured each other’s passions and skills. Every wedding, every shoot I’ve done, remains vivid in my memory, and I’ve kept in touch with many of my clients over the years. Now, up to 15 years into this journey, the most rewarding part is seeing my clients’ collection of photo albums grow, from capturing their weddings to documenting their expanding families. Hearing them say I’ve become an indispensable part of their family celebrations is the ultimate affirmation that I’m living the dream I envisioned this years ago.
